Like most independent wrestlers, Chris "The Madness" Hall lists many WWE legends as inspirations. His list is very similar to his colleagues, and it includes HHH, Chris Benoit, Shawn Michaels, Arn Anderson, Ric Flair, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. In the spirit of these legends, Hall found a wrestling school on the Internet and received what he considers "under par training" until the Irish Airborne took him under their wings and gave him the training that was needed.

Hall considers simply being a part of professional wrestling to be a career highlight, but also lists winning the IPW and HWA Tag Team titles as important milestones as well. In addition to this display of athleticism, Hall is also a former collegiate wrestler and football star, and is an avid strength and condition coach.
